Bridgeport XC Offseason Conditioning Info

First Day: Monday, June 8
8am at the Bridgeport City Park

There will be a group that meets most weekdays in the summer. Anyone interested in running cross country at Bridgeport High School in the fall should come check it out!

Congratulations to our Girls XC team for winning the Big 10 Conference Championship today!!

The Boys XC team also had an excellent day today, finishing in 3rd place as a team.

The following girls earned all conference honors:
1st Team:
Aria Selario - 2nd overall
Mikaela DeMoss - 4th
Ashley McBrayer - 10th
2nd Team:
Isla Tobrey - 17th
Beth Dankiewicz - 18th

The following boys earned all conference honors:
1st Team:
Troy Zorick - 2nd overall
William Northey - 10th

Parker Muncy - 19th

Our XC teams had a great weekend in Louisville at the Louisville XC Classic! It was a fast course, but a hot afternoon to race.

The girls finished 4th (out of 23 complete teams, 35 total teams) and were beaten by a couple of teams from Missouri and one from Pennsylvania. Aria Salerio took 2nd overall in a school record time of 18:47. Mikaela DeMoss also scored an 11th place finish, running a 19:43. Isla Tobrey (20:37) and Beth Dankiewicz (20:39) just missed top 25 finishes (and individual awards) by a few seconds.

The boys team also finished in a very respectable 12th place (out of 30 complete teams and 45 total teams). Troy Zorick ran 16:24 to take 13th place out of 230 boys finishers. William Northey was the next boys finisher in 38th at 17:09.

Next up: Big 10 Championships on October 16 at Buckhannon-Upshur High School.

A few photos from the Harrison County XC Championships yesterday. Congratulations to our XC teams!

It was a great day at the Belpre Invitational today for the XC team!

The boys ran first, and took 3rd place out of 16 complete teams, finishing behind two schools from Ohio. Top 25 finishers include Troy (8th), William (11th), and Graham (24th).

The girls team secured the team title (1st place out of 16 complete teams), and had individuals finish in 2nd (Aria), 4th (Mikaela), 10th (Isla), 11th (Beth), and 13th (Ashley).

Great job to all of our runners who competed today!

Great job to our cross country teams today at the Chick Fil A Invitational in Mineral Wells! There were many PRs and SBs today, and 4 of our athletes finished in the top 10 in varsity: Aria, Mikaela, and Isla (pictured) and Troy (6th, not pictured).

Special shout out to Aria, who ran 19:04 to become the fastest girl in BHS XC history!
