Shout out to The Original Storm Chasers!
This year marked the final season for the OG Storm Chaser team. A group of local boys who first came together as 7U players and quickly grew into something truly special.
Over the last decade, they accomplished more than we could have imagined. They won a lot of games, and championships, but what always set them apart wasn’t simply their talent. It was their will to win. No team wanted to win more than they did.
These boys competed with heart, grit, and a determination that was hard to match. They pushed each other to be better, held each other accountable, and learned what it meant to compete as a team.
As they now move into the next chapter, it’s been incredible to watch so many of them help lead their high school programs to deep playoff runs while earning district honors and recognition along the way. And now getting a chance to play at the next level.
This team was also the beginning of something much bigger. As other families began asking about Storm Chasers, we saw a need in our community. There were talented young players who wanted to compete at a higher level, but many families were hesitant because of the cost and travel often associated with select baseball.
So we said yes to add more teams. And from the beginning, our goal has remained simple. Help strengthen our local Little Leagues and high school programs by providing an affordable local opportunity for families who want to compete.
None of it would have been possible without the dads who stepped up to coach through the years. There are far too many to name here, but each one played a role in helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
Thank you for the countless hours, practices, tournaments, and sacrifices. Your investment in these players helped build something that will continue long after the final out is recorded.
To the original Storm Chasers …. thank you for setting the standard. You were the first and helped build the foundation. Your impact on this organization and our community will be felt for years to come. Keep working hard and doing great things!
