Basketball Registration for the 2025–2026 season opens next week at the Brewton Area YMCA!

Whether your child is just starting out or ready to level up their skills, our youth basketball league focuses on teamwork, confidence, and FUN. 💪✨

The Y will close on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 6:00 PM in observance of New Year’s Eve. We will remain closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in observance of New Year’s Day. We will resume regular hours on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Renovation Update

The floor and tile team has finished work on the back wet hallway. They confirmed it will be ready to walk on tomorrow, so access to the locker rooms and the pool can return to normal use.

Renovation Update

Demolition in the back wet hallway began this morning, and we anticipate all tile removal will be completed by the end of the day. Please be aware that construction activity in this area will continue through New Year’s Eve.

During this period, access to the back hallway is restricted to opening and closing Lifeguards only. All swimmers and aqua exercise participants should use the double doors leading to the lower lobby for entry and exit.

For our senior swim participants, parking is available around the back near the preschool playground, with entry through the lower lobby double doors in that area.

Subject: Temporary Water Shutoff – Facility Impact

Please be advised that tomorrow, 12/09/2025, at 9:30 a.m. the building’s water supply will be shut off to allow for urgent repairs.

• 🚰 Water Service: Entire facility will be without water during the repair.
• 🏋️ New Gym Closure: The new gym will be unavailable.
• ⚠️ Duration: We anticipate the repair will be completed quickly, but the work is essential as water loss is occurring at a significant rate.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this necessary maintenance. Updates will be provided as soon as the repair is complete.
