Brewton Area YMCA charity golf tournament set for Sept. 10 at Juniper Creek., The Brewton Area YMCA Charity Golf Tournament returns Sept. 10, 2026 at Juniper Creek Golf Course from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., with lunch. Proceeds fund scholarships and financial assistance for YMCA programs. Sponsorships range from $250 to $5,000. Catalyst by Southern Research, a non-profit health program in Birmingham, AL, is thrilled to be partnering with the Brewton Area YMCA on Monday, September 14 from 8am - 10am and 4pm - 7pm, offering 100% free genetic testing for chronic risk factors associated with diabetes, heart disease, and several types of cancer. The test also screens for medication response + analysis for more than 70 commonly prescribed medications ranging from behavioral health, cardiology, neurology, and pain management.
