Who We Are and What We Do!

Hi, My name is Erin Queen and I am the director of Head to Toes Recreational Gymnastics. This gymnastics program has actually been going on for 25+ years at the Transylvania Co. Recreation Department under the leadership of Elaine Trozzo. I took gymnastics classes when I was in elementary/middle school. As I got older, I assisted Elaine in teaching the classes she offered and was able to learn gymnastics from the instructor’s side of things through my high school and college years. Elaine retired from teaching gymnastics in 2017, which is when I, Erin, took over the program and created the name Head to Toes Recreational Gymnastics. As the name states, we are strictly a recreational program that focuses on teaching students basic gymnastics skills in the level 1 - 3 categories for events including floor, balance beam, uneven bars, and vaulting. Our goal is to teach our students gymnastics skills but more importantly encouraging them individually through the process of stepping out of their comfort zone, conquering fear, and reaching PERSONAL goals. Each student is unique and requires a different type of attention and encouragement, and we, myself and my instructors, do our best to learn the needs of each students and meet them to the best of our ability.
