Everyone has a day 1. Wouldn’t it be great if you could skip that part?

But here’s the hard truth…You can only start at the beginning.

If you could start at the end, everyone would do it.

I did not have any quick, magic transformations. There is significant time between these “day 1” pictures and the “after” pictures.

There is struggle, failures, mistakes and missteps not captured. But THAT is where the magic lies. Because that is where the confidence is built and the sense of pride is earned.

If you go for easy, you end up robbing yourself the feeling of being proud.

I don’t have all the answers but I love working to help find solutions and troubleshoot the journey for others based on my experiences, the knowledge I’m continually gaining, and those of other women I’ve worked with.

What would it feel like to feel proud of yourself?

What would it look like to look back at “day 1” you, and whisper to her…”just wait, you got this!”

I can’t do that to “day 1” me, but I get to do it with “day 1” YOU!

When was the last time a workout made you cry? Not because it was hard, or because the trainer had you doing burpees 😩👎
BUT because the trainer spoke to YOU 👈 and you realized how far you’ve come and how hard you’ve worked.

AND she reminded you of all of that, in that moment, with simple words.

That was me today 🥰. I was not expecting to feel like this in a ballroom of “strangers”.

If you’ve forgotten WHO you are, what will you do to find yourself? Will you choose to change or hide?

We made it 🙌 (and it’s hot 🥵) but I’m excited to experience all the live, in-person energy!!

6 years ago I found myself in a body I didn’t recognize.

I also knew that I couldn’t do another soul-crushing diet.

And the idea of making “a lifestyle change” seemed so daunting, yet mystical.

I’d been watching my college friend changing her life and I knew she was a no BS kind of gal.

She helped me find my way to a sustainable fitness and nutrition journey. As I gained confidence and started to feel more like myself, I realized there were other 40-year-old moms feeling some (or all) of what I had been feeling.

I realized I could help another mom, like my friend did for me.

For the past 5+ years, I’ve followed the same nutritional plan and stayed consistent with fitness. And it’s been the opposite of soul-crushing. It’s been exactly what I needed.

I’m excited to continue to help women learn what works best for them and support them through their journey.

I’m excited to share what has worked for me and I hope it can work for you too! I want you to feel good too!

I’m revisiting my first program on April 17. It’s an updated version of 21 Day Fix, the OG 😉. Same style of workouts, updated moves, and only 15, 30-minute workouts over 3 weeks.

I started this consistent fitness journey at the end of 2017.

I started it because I wanted to lose weight. My pants were so tight. My weight was the heaviest I’d ever been besides 🤰🏻and I was uncomfortable 😣

I started slow and didn’t try to do everything perfectly. Slowly I added another layer of the journey.

I started with 3 workouts per week, highly modified (I remember when the warm-up was tough 😣😮‍💨).

I started eating more veggies. I started looking at portion sizes and balancing my food choices.

When that got “easier”, I added another day to my workouts. I added another layer with my nutrition.

I lost the weight and have maintained that overall weight loss for 5 years! (I fluctuate 3-5 pounds depending on my nutritional focus 🤷🏻‍♀️).

BUT what has mattered more than a stupid number on a scale or size tag in my clothing has been all the non-scale victories along the way.

Today I hit another non-scale victory 🙌. I’ve always modified push-ups. I don’t have the upper body strength or mobility, so I do them on my knees 🤷🏻‍♀️, occasionally getting 1-2 “regular” push-ups.

In todays strength workout with Amoila Cesar, I decided to try “regular” push-ups thinking I would do as many as I could before moving to my knees.

Today I did 3 sets of 8 “regular” push-ups with good form 🙌 👊.

It’s a slow process but if you don’t show up, it won’t happen.

As spring arrives, it’s tempting to find the quick fix for a summer body but instead find something that is slow and steady. The non-scale victories of building strength and confidence are WAY better then some stupid number on a scale.

And those NSV are way more fun to celebrate too 😉. Let’s do it together!!!
