came a Kripalu Yoga Certified Teacher in 2007 and I began teaching as a teacher for senior adults and children. I love teaching. A defining moment occurred when a local domestic violence shelter asked me to teach a class at their facility. I knew enough to know that I needed more training to really support the women at the shelter. It is that opportunity that transformed my journey. I began training that continues today in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Meditation approaches to yoga. Like most people, I came to alternative therapies when western medicine missed its mark. I had what western doctors had been treating with out success as an arrhythmia. After endless tests and unsuccessful medications, An intuitive yoga teacher and friend, suggested there was as some sort of blockage in my neck. Skeptical, but eager to avoid surgery the doctors had assured me I needed, I went to a massage therapist he recommended. Using a mixture of, what I later found out to be Craniosacral Therapy and Myofacial work, the issue, which was actually a pinched nerve in my neck causing the arrhythmia, was resolved with not surgery, and no drugs. (My yogic headstand practice had been compressing the cervical spine)

I became a licensed as a massage therapist (LMT) in 2009 when I realized I could help others in search of a more holistic approach to self-care. I immediately fell in love with the gentle and profound modality that is Craniosacral Therapy (CST). I continue to study CST, as well as Acupressure, energetic approaches and Traditional Chinese meridian theory so that I can offer the best possible care for those in the Nashville area.
