5 habits to start the new year off the right way ✨
* Pick 3 days a week to exercise for 1 hour each - This could be at a gym, with your trainer, a run outside, a hike, even a brisk walk with your dog! Whatever it is, put that music on and get in your zone! Treat these 3 workouts as if they’re literal appointments you cannot miss!
* Plan your meals - now this gets choppy even in my house because KIDS lol. But pick 2 proteins, 2 veggies, 2 healthy carbs, 2 fruits, and prep some healthy grab and go snacks. Chef it up and have options for your week. What goes in your body, you feel. Repetition with food is your best friend, especially when it comes to protein. And meal prepping, girl you will be proud of yourself!
* Open your mind - whether it’s a book, a podcast, a YouTube, even music, start listening to things that are positive and motivate you!
* Journaling - this can be hard sometimes but so healing. Our minds race all day and then we sit on our phones when we get a break. Pause. Write. Look into yourself! There’s also tons of guided journals/gratitude journals out there you can buy if journaling is difficult for you!
* Lastly, create habits realistically. New years brings on this feeling of complete change, we all will be strict and do XYZ and by summer we’ll be PERFECT. But come February, those same high expectations can cause a fall off and we start living the new year like we did our last. And the regret that comes with that, knocks you down even further. Stay realistic, consistent, and let’s see what this new year brings 🥂
