Repost from 2020- THIS is why “sprint” training and staring at cones for “agility” training are not optimal for field and court athletes! It’s that simple.
Read this over 5 yrs ago & after watching countless hrs of our athletes’ game film & our videos of them training ™️ at competitive “game speed”, it’s absolutely true! This was written 20 yrs ago but doesn’t get much traction, as it runs contrary 2 the old dogmas!

“chaotic” environment, escaping or preparing for collisions and changes of direction after short accelerations!
