🌊 That’s a wrap on the sixth season of the Brenham Waves! 🌊

What an incredible season—and we could not have done it without the amazing people who support our athletes and our program.

Thank you to our City management team for continuing to wholeheartedly support this amazing program and the opportunities it provides for our athletes.

Thank you to our community for supporting the Polar Bear Slide fundraiser and helping provide our athletes with their amazing swimsuits. Your generosity allows our athletes to look and feel like a team!

A huge thank-you to Angela Moore, our Head of Delegation, for working behind the scenes throughout the season to ensure all our paperwork was completed—and for keeping our ready benches organized and moving today.

We are also incredibly grateful to the law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS personnel who joined us today and presented our athletes with their well-earned medals. Having our local first responders there made the day even more special.

Thank you to every volunteer who came out—whether you jumped in wherever needed, cheered on our athletes from the sidelines or handled the results table with ease like you always do. Every single one of you helped make today possible.

A very special thank-you to the parents and guardians of our athletes. Whether this was your family’s first season or you have been with us for all six, thank you for trusting us with your athletes and allowing us to be part of their journey.

Finally, to our Brenham Waves athletes: seeing y’all’s growth, hard work and determination is truly inspiring. Thank you for showing us what courage, teamwork and joy look like. We are so proud of each and every one of you!

The Blue Bell Aquatic Center is wrapping up the 2026 Leisure Pool season, and we’ve got one last weekend to make a splash!

🏊 SATURDAY, SEPT. 5
The Area 6 Regional Special Olympics Swim Meet will take place at BBAC. Come out and cheer on these amazing athletes! 💙
• Indoor Pools open to the public 3–5 PM
• Leisure Pool open 10 AM–5 PM

☀️ SUNDAY, SEPT. 6
• All Pools Open 1–5 PM

MONDAY, SEPT. 7
All pools will be CLOSED for the Labor Day holiday.
