Something new is happening at JW Horsemanship this summer and you can be among the first to join us.

Starting June 13, Joe Washburn is launching a 6-Week Groundwork Clinic Series at the Heart-Work Center here in Brenham Texas. Every Saturday morning. We welcome all levels, whether you have a young horse starting their partnership journey with people or you are a rider/handler who wants a more connected, responsive horse for any activity.

But first, if you're new here, a quick introduction.

JW Horsemanship & Services is a boutique horse training and riding lesson operation based in Brenham, Texas. Joe Washburn brings nearly 20 years of hands-on experience and a unique approach combining traditional cowboy wisdom with techniques based in equine behavioral science. The result is training that treats the horse fairly AND makes sense to the human.

We were honored to be named Best of Brenham in Horse Training for 2025. We train at our facility, we do mobile training within 50 miles, and now we're bringing that same foundation to a clinic format that anyone can attend.

Our first clinic session is June 13. Registration is open now.

📅 Every Saturday June 13 – July 25 (except July 4)
⏰ 8:30am – 11:30am
📍 The Heart-Work Center, 1040 Confederate Ln, Brenham TX
💰 $125/session or $625 for the full series (prepaid)
📋 Current Negative Coggins required

Attend one to get a taste of our flavor of groundwork and horse training. Sign up for the series to build skills week to week under the mentorship of a talented local horseman.

Note: we cannot accommodate stallions at our farm at this time. Our mobile training is an excellent option, bringing Joe’s skills to your location to work with your studs.
