Cub soccer had their fishing outing once again yesterday. Some of the guys had never fished before in their lives and you can say they are hooked now.

Cub soccer lost a close 2-1 last night to a team that repeatedly has beaten us ny 6 or more goals the last several seasons. Progress is happening for the program.

Cub soccer to a step back tonight as both squads aid matching 5-0 losses. Gonna get back to work at practice and prepare for our home game on Tuesday.

Historically postponed games haven’t been great for the Cubs. But tonight was a different story. The cubs fought hard and earned a 2-1 victory over the district leaders. Awesome effort tonight. JV also played well and earned a 1-0 win as well.

The Cubs probably played their best game of the season tonight and lost to an excellent College station squad 3-1. Gave up an early goal each half but responded well each time. Then a late goal as we pressed. Friday is a bye so back at it at home Tuesday night.

Ok time for a soccer update. Saturday the Cub soccer teams had reverse results. Jv won 3-2 to take 3rd play in Bau city for the JV division. Varsity lost 3-2 to get 2nd place in their tournament.

Today varsity opened our tournament with 4-1 victory over a hard working Giddings squad. Slight schedule change as varsity will play at 11am and JV will play at 3pm.

Had a flip of yesterday’s results as varsity won both of their matches today an JV lost their lone match. Varsity will play in the final tomorrow at 1:30 and Jv has the JV 3rd place game at 9am. Go Cubs

Great day for our Jv squad today as they won both their matches. Varsity fell behind a couple goals and tied the game only to lose to a late goal. Back at it in Bay city tomorrow.

Green vs White inaugural scrimmage tonight and while it was fun, there could only be one winner. The Cubs very own Coach Boggan reigns victorious with his green team over Coach Jungers and her white team. And one of our seniors Eric chose Coach as his influential teacher during high school. It was a fun filled night. We can’t wait until next year.

Another scrimmage and we scored 2 and only gave up one goal against a good West Fork squad. Some good things happened and saw some things we need to work on.
