Race weekend recap
This weekend we raced at our first all asphalt track, south sound speedway, with some good luck the weather held off and we got to race.
We went into first practice and felt out the track and found some adjustments that needed to be made to both trucks, after making those adjustments we went back out for qualifying where #14 Austin Kramer qualified 3rd out of 8 and #88 Garrett Kramer qualified 6th. We then went into the heat races and got split into 2 groups based off our qualifying. Austin in the 1st group and Garrett in the 2nd. In the 1st heat race Austin started p2 and made his way to p1, there was some excitement in that heat with Brad faires flipping his truck, he was able to drive it off the track and was ok. After a reset from the flip, the 2nd group went out with Garrett starting p3 and finishing p3, with no crazy excitement. We went into the main starting 4 wide with a land rush start, Austin in p3 and garret p6. By the end of the 20 lap main with only one caution for debris, Austin held his position in p3 with Jonah Vick in p2 and Jalen Vick in p1. Unfortunately, Jonah Vick lost his p2 position for hitting the cone which bumped him to p6 and Austin up to p2. Garrett made his way from p6 to p5 to end the race. After a long day of racing everyone had a good time out on the track and got to learn more how their trucks handled on the asphalt. It was a great day of racing with great people. As always a huge thanks to our sponsors, we couldnβt do it without you!
