Denise tells me I’m never ready to go home! 🤷‍♂️Well she is correct. One of my favorite things about racing is that the party starts in the pits at 11:00 pm. Pop open a cold one and let the fun begin. Who wants to go to Ethel’s for one?😂

🏁 Closed out the season with a podium finish Saturday night!

After starting 7th in the main event, we brought it home 3rd. Hard to be disappointed with a podium, but we knew from the time we unloaded that we were about 3–4 tenths off where we needed to be.

We were 3rd quick overall early, ran 3rd in the heat, and finished 3rd in the feature. Consistent? Absolutely. But the car just didn’t respond like it did the week before. When we tried to get over on the right front, it would shear traction and pick up a push that carried through the corner.

Something is obviously still bent or bound up from our contact with the wall while racing for the win the week before. We’ll get it figured out and come back better.

Overall, it was a fun season being back with Bush Race Cars. We learned a lot, had speed, raced up front, and hopefully helped Mark sell a few cars along the way! 😎

We won our heat race and finished 2nd in the Feature at the Highland Speedway last night. Had a run on the top with 2 to go, but a great defensive move by Jacob Steinkoenig got him to the checkers first. Great race and congrats to Jacob.

It’s moments like these that make all the work on these cars worth it. It’s finally race day! Can’t wait to get back at it after the couple weeks off!

No racing this weekend as our youngest son Blake gets married!

A few weeks late but here are a few laps from Cole’s County Speedway. Such a fun bullring.💪 We’ve not had many nights in this car but it’s already one of my favorites.

Not the results we were looking for, but the Kirchner Building Centers / Equity Realty Group Modified was pretty good again last night! Win or Lose the Pit Party is Always a Blast!

🏁 Started 5th → Finished 2nd in the heat race
🏁 Started on the pole → Finished 4th in the feature after being penalized for a false start

We just didn’t snug the car up enough for the track, but overall, we had good speed again and learned a little more.
