Bees Soccer Academy (BSA) BSA is fielding both girls & boys teams in OHTSL. We have a fun but structured soccer approach! Our Mission:
To maximize the athletic potential of each player.

ent of all players and will be based on the Best Practices that prescribe a curriculum with stated standards and objectives for each age-group. Our Mantra:
Practice does not make perfect, it only makes permanent. Only Perfect Practice makes Perfect. Our Player Development Philosophy:

We are committed to teaching players the skills and tactical insights necessary to play an indirect, possession-style of game. The success of the player development process will be measured by quality of play rather than results. Players will play and train in an environment that will encourage decision-making and creativity. Decision-making by players on the field will require parents to quietly observe rather than "direct." When choosing leagues, team rosters and tournaments, we will always place players is a competitive playing and training environment where there will be a balance between success and challenge. Our training sessions will be tactically oriented, with players learning functional technique in the context of the game. Our training emphasis will be on speed of play. Our coaching hierarchy will be to teach team shape, roles and functional techniques in whatever formation the team is playing. Players will learn the strengths and weaknesses of different formations and how to attack and how to defend out of each formation. Coaches will concentrate in training on the phases of play. Attacking—Building from the back; maintaining possession in the midfield; being adventurous and creative in the attacking third; counter-attacking when the game dictates. Transition quickly from attacking to defending and from defending to attacking
Defending-When to press; when to drop; when to choose a deep line of confrontation.

Under the CVYO and BSA umbrella the following Scholarships and donation were made this year from the BSA Memorial Scholarship Fund/R4YL Program.

The Run For Your Life Scholarship: Olivia Ramer and Kyle Brown, both a $1,000 scholarship each.

The BSA Tony Niccoli Memorial Scholarship: Alexander Boose and Ann Ma**er, both a $1,000 scholarship, each.

BSA Memorial Scholarship Fund/R4YL Program: Donation of $ 5,000 to Kick it for Kids Cancer/Alex's Lemonade Stand.

These scholarships and donation come from the Brecksville Home Days 5K Race, that is coming up Sunday, June 21, 2026.

This is the 16th year of the Brecksville Home Days 5K Race. Consider joining by completing the registration below. All proceeds go back to our kids and community. We can not make these donations without your help and support.

Congratulations to our very own Coach Sage for being a part of Ohio Travel Soccer League's inaugural Coach Leadership Council! Well done, Sage! We're so lucky that you're a part of our team! 🐝⚽

We are proud to acknowledge the coaches from the OHTSL who successfully completed the 1st ever, 2025–2026 OHTSL Coach Leadership Council, demonstrating a 10-month commitment to their growth as leaders.

In early May, the coaches gathered for a final workshop and dinner, where they shared presentations highlighting key takeaways, inspiring moments, and ways they have already begun applying their learning in their coaching environments.

The evening also included the presentation of certificates, recognizing the dedication, effort, and growth each coach demonstrated throughout the journey.

Congratulations to all of the coaches, as well as the communities that supported them along the way. Great work!

The council, let by OHTSL Director of Coaching Marcie Schwartz, was created to expand coaching leadership skills, including team management and player development competencies.
Applications are now open for the 2nd / 2026-2027 OHTSL Coach Leadership Council and can be found on the OHTSL website, www.ohtsl.com .
