Dear Summit Boys Rugby. As some of you will know by now our dear friend, coach and mentor Pete Clarke died last week in a climbing accident on Mt Sneffels near Ouray. His absence will leave a huge gap in the lives of his family and friends but we can all be grateful for the times we shared with him, together with his kindness, patience, generosity and good humor towards us all. No doubt we will get together in due course to celebrate his life and I will share details of any such event when it is planned. In the meantime feel free to share any loving thoughts and memories and be sure to look after each other as we deal with this loss. Take care all. Guy

Non-contact rugby each Thurs at Kingdom park in Breck from 6:00 until 8:00. We had 10 show up last Thurs and had a great session. Bring a buddy and your boots to run outside on the turf. Anybody welcome, even if you have never played. Call Bobby with questions 970 389-7797

Join the Blue Goose and old boys, 6:00 pm every Thurs at Kingdom pitch in Breck for an informal rugby session. Passing, kicking, running. Open to all ages, boys and girls, no experience necessary, just show up and bring a buddy.

All Summit boys rugby activities are suspended like everything else. What could be problematic with a full contact team sport centered around the scrum?

No practice tonight, Tues, at SHS. Due to spring sports starting we no longer have any time at SHS. We have Fridays from 4:00 to 7:00 at Kingdom outdoor turf in Breck. But the field has not yet been plowed so this Friday, 3/13 is up in the air. Also weather dependent. Touch will continue on Mondays from 6:00 to 8:00 inside at Breck Rec. We had 14 run last night.

Aspen HS boys have asked if any of our players would like to play with them. They scrimmage this Saturday in Grand Junction. More details at practice tonight, Tues, 7 to 9 at SHS.

We have had to cancel the boys 15s season due to lack of numbers. We will continue on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 at SHS with training for 7 a side rugby. No training on Fridays. Touch rugby with the Blue Goose still occurs on Mondays from 6 to 8 at Breck Rec Center. We are all disappointed. it is not any one individuals fault, but a simple fact that you cannot play 15 a side rugby without dedication from 20 plus players. We will try to find some 7's tournaments in the late spring and summer, which will only need 12 players to form a team.

No practice this afternoon, Friday, 2-7. Go to rugbycolorado.org to register with Summit HS boys NOW. We need 20 of you to have begun the registration process by Sunday evening to proceed with our season. The payment and waivers require your parents and can be completed later.
