BVA - Brea Volleyball Academy

BVA - Brea Volleyball Academy BVA volleyball club is a girls club in North OC offering Regional & Travel Opportunities. Congrats BVA on 13 YEARS!!!!!!! Connect With Us!

BVA is a junior girls’ volleyball club in the North Orange County area offering both Regional and Travel volleyball experiences. We believe that volleyball is a unique sport that demands teamwork, commitment and perseverance on and off the court. BVA was born out of a desire to get today’s youth moving and develop these life skills. BVA commits itself to advancing the game of volleyball as it dev

elops athletes of all skill levels in their personal growth and team betterment. BVA focuses on fundamentally strong volleyball which instills a lifelong passion for the game and prepares athletes for competitive opportunities at every age level. The entire BVA organization will seek to contribute to the physical, social and moral development of its players by encouraging a family-oriented team and club environment. The overall goal is to provide each player with an enjoyable and wholesome volleyball experience in various competitions at the local, state and national levels. At BVA, we believe the club volleyball experience is about growth – both on and off the court. As important as on-court skill development is the building of a player’s personal confidence and self-esteem, socialization skills, leadership ability and friendships through athletic endeavors. All athletes will be afforded the opportunity to further their knowledge and skills while enhancing their responsibility, solidarity, critical thinking skills and ethical and moral conduct. BVA’s intention is to allow the girls the opportunity to play the game they love at a high level. The environment we provide allows them to become more confident players and that confidence translates to the classroom and into their personal lives. They also learn that every attempt they make on and off the court, no matter what the outcome, is an opportunity to learn how to succeed. This competitive athletic experience will contribute to mental and physical health, and teach the values of teamwork, self-discipline, and self-motivation. BVA stresses that our players apply the following: a positive mental attitude, hustle, play without fear of mistakes, eliminate the phrase “I can’t”, and work together towards a common goal—work hard to refine skills and learn to expect more from each other and themselves. We have found that by demanding more from each other, the players get more from themselves. We believe in the principle that athletes learn more effectively when structure, expectation and accountability are the rule and not the exception. We at BVA consider ourselves to be in a constant state of growth, and believe if you stop growing you will never accomplish the greatest of things. We plan on growing our Academy tremendously year by year with the support of families like yours. Our passion is to help everyone find a positive place to play, grow and achieve their dreams. Whether the dream is to be a college athlete or just to play for fun, it is your choice. We provide the opportunity to define your volleyball future. Athletes and parents will also have the opportunity to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. BVA believes coaching is a fine balance of teaching, leading, and strategizing. Teaching the intricate details and mental portion of the sport is necessary to develop a better understanding of the game so that one can compete at high levels. Good coaches should lead athletes to the decision that they will never accept mediocrity in any facet of life or sport and to appreciate the work necessary to master the mundane fundamentals required to become an excellent team. Coaches should also be strategists in the analysis and study of their team and their opponents in order to pick up on the slightest tendency or weakness. Coaching also needs to lack an ego, but good coaches have the ability to design specific strategies and philosophies to their team’s personnel and talent level. You do not need previous volleyball experience to learn, excel, and succeed at BVA. The accomplishment of any player’s goals is a combination of what we can provide AND the effort and commitment made by the player. BVA is for every athlete who has the desire to improve! BVA is committed to the development of the individual skill level of all their participating athletes while providing a safe, competitive and fun environment. We want our coaches and athletes to get to their next level! Our mission is to take each player to a higher level of competitiveness while maintaining her love for the game. As a club, we sincerely hope that by teaching the game’s fundamentals, we will provide the solid foundation that will enable young people to not just play volleyball in school, but into adulthood as well. We believe that volleyball is truly a lifetime sport. Follow Us On Twitter

What an honor to be their coach this season. Thank you girls , thank you parents and thank you BVA for making my last season the most successful and memorable season of all.”

From Our Club Owner: Beth Ledoyen

After 17 incredible seasons, we are announcing the closure of BVA Volleyball Club.

From the very beginning, our mission was to create a space where young athletes could grow—not just as volleyball players, but as people. We’ve always taken pride in being a family-focused, affordable club where girls could train in a safe and supportive environment. For nearly two decades, that vision became a reality, thanks to the incredible athletes, parents, and coaches who believed in it with us.

We’ve had the joy of watching players mature through the sport, compete at the next level, and even return to coach the next generation. Our athletes and coaches aren’t just teammates—they’re family. And it’s that sense of family that made BVA so special.

To the parents and athletes: thank you. Your trust, commitment, and support made everything possible. We are endlessly grateful for the memories, the friendships, and the community we built together.

This decision was not made lightly. While our passion remains strong, the demands of running a club require immense time and emotional energy. For Beth, it’s time to prioritize her family and be present for the next chapter in their lives.

Despite this bittersweet ending, we look back with full hearts. The last 17 years have been filled with laughter, teamwork, championships, tough losses, comebacks, and most importantly—moments that shaped who we are.

To our BVA staff, our players past and present, and every person who has walked through our doors: thank you for helping us build something truly special.

We encourage you to stay in touch with your coaches as they continue their journeys. We know they will carry the spirit of BVA with them into every gym they enter.

With love and gratitude,
The BVA Volleyball Club
