🌟Meet Your FIT BREA Coach🌟iniquez

Growing up, Matthew was an enthusiastic athlete, with football holding a special place in his heart. He found joy in strength training, not only for the gains but also for the camaraderie with friends and teammates. After his high school sports journey, he continued strength training as a means to maintain his health.

When it came time to choose a career, Matthew knew he wanted to focus on helping and teaching others.

Matthew earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). Throughout his career, he’s had the privilege of working with various sports teams, including beach volleyball, women’s soccer, women’s water polo, swim and dive, and football, among others.

Matthew’s mission is to enhance the performance of both athletes and the general population. He believes that “working out” is simply a form of training, tailored to meet each individual’s unique goals. While there are many techniques, the underlying principles remain consistent.

In addition to being a key member of our personal training and group training programs, Matthew will also take on the role of lead coach for our Youth Performance Program.

Currently, he serves as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at California State University Fullerton, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our team.

🚨 We are excited to announce the official launch of our Youth Performance Training at FIT Brea‼️

For the past 12 years, FIT Brea has transformed the lives of adults and established a vibrant community. Now, we are looking to extend our impact by helping our youth thrive through a dedicated training program designed to enhance their performance and overall well-being.

This is not a drop-in sports camp or random conditioning program.

This is a professionally structured youth performance training system designed to develop athletes the right way.

To ensure a high-quality and individualized coaching experience, each class will be capped at 8 athletes MAX per session.

Our goal is to help young athletes:
✅ Build confidence
✅ Improve athletic performance
✅ Reduce injury risk
✅ Develop discipline and work ethic
✅ Build habits that carry over into sports and everyday life

🏋️ OUR TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

We believe great athletes are built through strong movement foundations.

Our program is designed around foundational movement patterns including:
• Squat
• Hinge
• Lunge
• Push
• Press
• Rotation
• Locomotion

These movement patterns are the foundation of athletic performance in every sport.

Before athletes can maximize performance, they must first learn how to move efficiently, safely, and with purpose.

Our training system is designed to develop:
• Strength
• Power
• Speed
• Agility
• Coordination
• Confidence
• Mental resilience

🧠 Teaching athletes how to strengthen their minds while training their bodies gives them an advantage both in sports and in life.

We are excited to bring this program to the FIT Brea community and help develop the next generation of athletes!
