Holland Gym saw a fight last night.

Bellows Falls went toe-to-toe with Vergennes in a defensive battle before the visitors created separation late. Tough shooting night, but never a lack of effort.

Nothing easy. Nothing given.

I sat down with Bellows Falls girls head coach James Pecsok ahead of tonight’s quarterfinal matchup.

From growing up around UVM basketball to building this program into a hosting playoff team, it’s been a steady climb — and now there’s a trip to Barre on the line.

Long before he was pacing the sideline at Bellows Falls, James Pecsok was living in the gym.

Over the past couple of weeks you may have noticed a slightly slower rate of posts.

I recently stepped in as the JV coach at Bellows Falls after they found themselves in need — and I didn’t want to see those guys go without someone on the sideline.

I’m doing my best to balance everything and continue getting coverage out as I can. I appreciate everyone’s patience and support as I navigate this stretch.

We’ll be back in full swing this spring.
