We had some very cold weather come through a little while back. Ice conditions weren't good. So, we decided to torture test our Pitboss Lexington 540.

-20 before the windchill, -35 to -4] or so with the wind and we tried smoking some chicken.

As a bonus we tried some Alabama White BBQ Sauce. Man that was delicious.

NOT A PAID ENDORSEMENT. We just like this product because it works!

Looks like a great deal to us. We have used the Kastking Convert graphite rod, and have been very happy with it. We paid $30 for just the rod alone and felt that was a great deal. (2) interchangeable rod tips so you are basically getting 2 rods. Well worth it.

Even though we have not used the reel (full disclosure) this looks to be a great way to save some money.

Plus you get line, and a free hat and scissors!

And it would be a great starter kit for anyone looking to get into ice fishing.
