Point O'Pines Camp for Girls

Point O'Pines Camp for Girls Point O'Pines Camp for Girls is where lifelong friendships are born, confidence is discovered, skills are honed, and fun defines every day.

Located in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. The Point O’Pines Camp Experience
On a beautiful peninsula nestled in the Adirondack Mountains overlooking beautiful Brant Lake, girls of all ages come together for seven fleeting weeks to create memories that will last a lifetime. Every summer at Point O’Pines is filled with fun, friendships, learning and excitement. Our campers develop and

improve skills through high-level instruction, and are encouraged to try new things while learning about others and themselves. Campers enjoy every moment of summer camp while they grow in confidence, leadership and self-esteem in a secure, community environment. Our Camp Community
In our Point O’Pines community, we cultivate a welcoming, comfortable camp environment. In our summer family, campers and staff are encouraged to respect one another’s important roles within our camp community. At Point O’Pines, having fun is always regarded as more important than winning, and the attributes of good citizenship – friendliness, honesty, generosity, and camp spirit – are held in the highest esteem. Over 50 Years of Excellence
Point O’Pines has been owned and operated by the Himoff Family since 1984. The Himoff’s have taken great care to preserve many of the traditions that began in 1957 when Hoby and Norma Rosen founded the camp. Everything about Point O’Pines embodies timeless quality and unique attention to detail. Every program has attentive expert instructors and the most modern equipment. Our staff members demonstrate a culture of care and responsibility and set a positive example for campers. Every detail at the Point is as perfect as we can possibly make it. Point O’Pines Camp is a place of beauty and fun, and a haven where friendships flourish. Over 90% of Our Campers Return
Point O’Pines campers call their camp their summer home year after year. It is easy for campers to thrive at Point O’Pines because so many friends cheer them on, dozens of caring and skilled instructors show them the way, and a beautiful, serene environment where girls come together for eight weeks to create memories that will last a lifetime. We Love to Welcome New Campers into Our Family
Our directors take great care to get to know all new campers individually before they come to camp. By understanding each camper’s individual needs, we can arrange our campers into bunk situations according to their personalities, interests, and compatibility. We connect our new campers with other new and returning campers before camp and every younger camper is paired with an older camp sister to provide a comfortable, friendly introduction to camp life.

70 years of memories, friendships, traditions, and a whole lot of Point O’Pines magic 💙🤍

This weekend reminded us that no matter how much time passes, there’s something about coming back to POP that makes it feel like time stands still. From old friends reuniting and new friendships forming, to singing in the dining hall, getting back up on waterskis, and celebrating together at Banquet - our hearts are so full.

Thank you to everyone who came home to camp and made this weekend so incredibly special. Until next time… POP forever! 🌲💫

A message from Brandon and Caressa as the 2026 camp season comes to a close:

As our final summer leading Point O’Pines comes to a close, Caressa and I have been thinking about what this place has meant to us.

For 41 summers, Point O’Pines has been part of my life. It is where I had my first job, where Caressa and I met, where our children grew up, and where our family has gathered summer after summer.

For many years, Caressa and I have had the privilege and responsibility of running Point O’Pines together. We have worked to preserve the traditions that make the Point special while allowing camp to grow, and to create a place where girls can challenge themselves, build lifelong friendships and grow into confident and caring young women.

None of that happens without the campers and staff. You are the magic of this beautiful place. Thank you for the friendships, the laughter, the songs, the traditions, and all that you have given to this community.

And to this summer’s Peakers: you led camp with spirit, kindness and love, and we are very proud of the example you set for the girls who will follow you.

At Final Campfire, we passed the torch to Nikki and Max (Friendship and Spirit) as they prepare to lead Point O’Pines into its next chapter. We wish them every success, but more than that, we wish them the joy, friendship and love that the Point has given our family.

Our deepest wish is that Point O’Pines continues to foster the growth of girls into women we are proud of, and that it always remains a community that is welcoming and loving for everyone who calls it their summer home.

For Caressa and me, leading Point O’Pines has been the privilege of our lives.

Brant Lake is always beautiful, but our friend, Carl Heilman II Photography - Wild Visions, Inc., was able to capture the glow last night. Wow!

Beautiful, soft pastel colors. curtains, and shafts of light filled the whole sky last evening as extremely rare KP9 northern lights shone through and around the clouds moving in over Brant Lake. (5/10/24 at 10:13 PM)
