It's garage-cleanout season, so let's talk about that tent. 🏕️

You know the one. Used it twice, cost more than you'd admit, has been sitting behind the Christmas decorations since 2022.

You could list it on Marketplace. And then you could answer "is this still available?" a million times, get ghosted twice, and agree to meet a stranger in a gas station parking lot at 8 p.m. 🙃

Or you could bring it to us. We handle the whole thing. It goes on our floor, in front of people who are actually looking for outdoor gear, and you don't have to deal with a single message.

Fair warning: the store's about to look a little different in here. 🏕️

Every single week this summer, somebody has walked in and said some version of the same thing — "I have to drive to Springfield just to get a decent sleeping pad."

And y'all, I wrote it all down. Every product, every brand, every request, every "if you carried this I'd never shop anywhere else."

So our camping and hiking gear is landing this month. Tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, packs — including the ultralight backpacking stuff, because apparently there are more of you out there than I ever realized. 🎒

Ozarks fall is genuinely the best hiking season we get. No 100° heat, no million ticks. Come get set up for it.

Oh, and same deal as always: if you've got quality camping gear collecting dust in the garage, we take consignment. 👀

If you need a break from this heat 🔥🥵(other than a dip in the lake 🏊‍♀️), visit Talking Rocks Cavern for a cool off. They are right down the road from Blue Otter. Super convenient from the Branson area and Kimberling City.
We always have the best time and love, love, love their gift shop!
