Two years ago I walked into Yale New Haven Hospital for the first time as a Reiki volunteer unsure of what I had to offer in a place that loud, that fast, that clinical.

What I found there changed me.

Six days.

I’ve been thinking about what it feels like to practice outside as the evening light changes over the water — that particular kind of quiet that’s hard to find anywhere else. That’s what I want to share with you this summer.

The 2026 Outdoor Yoga Series — “Summer of Joyful Living — Returning to Joy” — begins Monday, June 1st at The Owenego in Branford. Eight weeks. Kripalu-style, which means we move with awareness and meet ourselves exactly where we are. All levels, always.

Series: $100 members · $130 general public
Single class: $15 members · $20 general public

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer.

It's a day to remember the men and women who didn't come home. To sit with that for a moment, really sit with it, before we fire up the grill or head to the beach.

That's what I'm doing today. Taking a breath. Feeling grateful for freedoms I didn't earn. Thinking of the families who carry a loss that doesn't have a season.

This season we’re gathering every Monday evening, June 1st through July 20th at 6:00 pm at one of the most beautiful spots on the Connecticut shoreline — the Owenego in Branford, nestled in gorgeous gardens right along the Long Island Sound. 🌊

Our theme this year is Returning to Joy. Because sometimes we all just need to come back to ourselves. Come back to what feels good. Come back to joy.

No yoga experience needed. No special equipment. Just you, the fresh sea air, and an evening that’s entirely yours.

However you’re spending this Sunday — whether it’s a quiet morning on your mat, a healing moment in stillness, time with loved ones, or simply resting — may it be gentle and good.

Easter is a time many associate with renewal and new beginnings. In yoga, we return to that theme with every breath. In Reiki, we find it in the quiet restoration of energy. In meditation, we discover it in the space between thoughts. Every inhale is a fresh start. Every practice, a small rebirth.

No matter your beliefs, your background, or where you are on your journey — you are welcome here. Yoga, Reiki, and meditation are for everyone.

Happy International Women’s Day. 💗

One of the greatest gifts of the work I do through yoga, meditation, and Reiki is witnessing the strength and resilience of women. Every day I meet women who are balancing so much — careers, families, caregiving, friendships, expectations — and still finding the courage to keep growing, healing, and showing up for life with open hearts.

What inspires me most is what happens when women give themselves permission to pause. When they step onto the mat, close their eyes, take a deep breath, and reconnect with themselves — even for a few minutes. In that space, something powerful happens. We remember our strength. We soften. We heal. We support one another.

To all the incredible women in this community — students, friends, mothers, daughters, sisters, and grandmothers — I see you, and I’m grateful for the energy, kindness, and wisdom you bring into the world.

Today is a beautiful reminder that your wellbeing matters too. May you take a moment today to breathe deeply, move gently, and honor the strong, compassionate woman that you are.

As we step into a new year, my heart is full of gratitude. Thank you to every beautiful soul who has shown up on the mat, in meditation, on the water, or for Reiki—bringing presence, openness, and trust into our shared space.

This community is built on intention, kindness, and the courage to slow down and listen inward. Whether you joined us once or many times in 2025, your energy matters and your presence has helped shape this beautiful collective.
