Hello OV friends! Otters Baseball is doing one of our favorite fundraisers soon. We are doing our golf tournament October 18th at Neshobe.
This is a best ball scramble, with all proceeds supporting Otter Valley baseball.
We are looking for teams to join us. If you are solo and want to play, we can get you on a team.
We are looking for donations of silent auction items, and businesses that can be a hole sponsor.
We are taking our team to spring training in Myrtle Beach next spring and this tournament is a key event to get started.

In other OV baseball news, Jacob and Jackson were chosen to play in the VPA Twin State game.

This is the 18 best VT seniors vs. New Hampshire.

The game is a double header, VT took both games.

Coach Howe was one of the VT coaches, and Noah was the official bat boy.

Jacob and Jackson have been playing together since they were in 7th grade. They worked together to become amazing ball players and team leaders. As I write this, Jackson is in his way to Montcalm college where he will play golf.
Jacob is preparing to head to Clarkson University where he will continue his baseball career.

Hello OV friends. It’s been a little quiet in our world lately but good things are happening.
The team members that played American Legion ball just finished their season and it was good!
Players that played Legion ball were:
Marek Heitmann
Max Potter
Jonathan Johnson
Jackson Howe
Jacob Warrell

We also had an OV baseball alum and coach Nolan Tripp play his last eligible season.
Nolan was rewarded with an award for best 3rd baseman in the southern league. This is special because this is not his native position.

Jacob and Jackson were both named as best utility players in the southern Vermont league. Both have always been versatile, so this was nice recognition.

Nolan Quenneville spent the summer working with his Strike Zone team and had a great season!

There is a lot to be excited about for next season!

Congrats to all the boys that played this summer!

Today Otter Valley’s Jackson Howe was selected as the Rutland Herald baseball player of the year!
Such a nice award and so deserved!

Every team wants its leaders to have passion. If those athletes care, there is a trickle down effect to the rest of the team.

Happy Father’s Day weekend everyone!
We are happy to announce that two Otter Valley seniors have been selected to play in the 2026 Twin State Baseball games.
Jackson Howe and Jacob Warrell were selected for the 18 player roster.
If you see these guys this week, congratulate them!
If you can, join us next Saturday for the games!

WHITE RVIER JCT. — Eighteen of the top senior baseball players from the Green Mountain State will represent Vermont against New Hampshire in the upcoming 2026 Twin State Baseball Classic.

It’s a season! We played Lyndon today, unfortunately the boys came up short losing 5-2.
It’s not how we wanted to end the season but there is a lot to be proud of and excited for.
This team is truly special. This group of 12 athletes grew to become close friends. They challenged each other and themselves to get better every day. They are surrounded by a group of coaches and parents that care deeply.
We may be graduating 4 seniors, however there is a group of gifted athletes there who are ready to make us proud next season, and a dedicated group of coaches that believe in building a top program and keep them loving the game!
Most of these boys will be playing American Legion so come out and watch them play!

It semi finals time! Your Otter Valley team is traveling to Lyndonville, VT to take on Lyndon Institute in our semi final game.
The game is Wednesday the 10th at 4:30 pm in Lyndon.
Come support your team if you can.

This clip has already gotten some play but I wanted to share regardless. This play highlights something OV baseball has taught forever. “Practice harder than you play”
Max made that play because our players lay out for balls in the infield and outfield every single practice.
Every player on our team plays with this effort and energy.

Well, we are moving in to the semi finals! Tonight we hosted the Middlebury Tigers. We won 11-1!
Tonight there was so much great play that we couldn’t pick 1 Dude of the Day so we elected to call it a team “Dude” game.
Jake went 3-4, Marek went 2-3, Dom went 2-4. Everybody hit up and down the lineup.
Jackson dominated on the mound, striking out 11.
Max Potter made an absolute highlight reel diving catch of a line drive. The craziest catch I’ve seen.
