I really appreciate Landon giving me the opportunity to help him with his golf swing at 49 Golf Range and Retreat in Florence,Ms. We worked on how he pivots. He had a reverse pivot (image on the left), and now he's loading completely differently (image on the right). But more than anything, he now knows the "Why and the How" and has some homework to work on! Great work, Landon! 📐

On a very basic level, we are just swinging the golf club around our body on an inclined plane. So, let the club swing, add some turn, then let the trail heel lift as we extend. This is a great way for a beginner to learn the basic motion of the golf swing! 📐

It was great having Ayden out for a lesson this evening at 49 Golf Range and Retreat in Florence Ms. We worked on his setup, plus we did some slow motion swings with the intent to start the ball right of the alignment stick that’s vertically in the ground. That station externally helps his hand path not work too outward in transition, while the slow motion swings help enhance his feels. All in an effort to improve his golf swing with minimal swing thoughts. It was a solid hour of work! 📐

It was fun having Randy out for a lesson this evening at 49 Golf Range and Retreat in Florence, MS. We worked on the plane of the golf swing by improving his arm structure in the backswing, along with some lateral drills. The pitch of the shaft is less vertical now (image on the right),all in an effort to hit some push draws. Randy now knows the “Why" and the "How" to work on his swing going forward. We will keep fine tuning. Great work Randy!

Once you understand this! and how the golf swing is basically a side on underhand throwing motion, how to train the pattern, and how the body reacts to the club, things become a lot easier with far fewer swing thoughts! 📐
