The person you see here did not appear out of thin air.

It took years of trying to find out what works best for me and committing to sticking with that plan. There were a lot of tears. There was a lot of frustration. There was a lot of failure but there was also a lot of joy and excitement that I am setting myself up for success throughout my whole life.

For me, I found that I needed structure when it comes to my fitness. I needed a plan which I didn’t have to think but rather just do. And I found working out at from home has provided me safety and flexibility to workout whenever I can squeeze it in.

If you are frustrated or do not know where to start, I am here to help. I LOVE to share my wisdom of health and wellness.

I did NOT want to post this. But I promised to be true to myself and committed to showing others the ups and downs of attaining a goal

Jan 4: Before I started the fitness program
Jan 24th: finished Phase 1
Feb 14th: finished Phase 2

Between Jan 24th and Feb 14th I GAINED a pound!! One pound is really nothing to Fret about but being the impatient person I am, it did sting as I wanted to see MORE progress.

The last few days, I reflected over my food journaling. I found trends of not only when my un-smart eating occurred but more importantly what TRIGGERED me to not eat smart. I will take those lessons into the third and final phase of the 9 week program.

If you are ready to rock a fitness/health goal Holla at your girl!!!

⚠️WARNING⚠️: MAY CONTAIN CONTENTS OF PROGRESS

I am two days late but I FINALLY took some pictures. Since the program I am doing has three phases, I want to document my progress during each phase rather than just one at the end. The scale only told me I was down 6.4lbs.

These pictures tell me I not only lost a little weight and gained muscle, It also shows the increased confidence I have in myself. It shows that I am honoring my body by moving and eating the way it deserves.

If you are ready to honor your body, let’s chat!

And just like that, the first one bites the dust.

Today is an exciting day as I am opening up a new health journal. Part of my new way of life is writing down what food and drinks I consume. Even if I ate unhealthy Chinese food(which I did this weekend) I still wrote it down.

This allows me to determine what is working in my nutrition and what is not. It also allows me to see trends of my eating(like when I emotionally eat). Some days are more detailed than others but the point is that I constantly tracked my nutrition for 3 MONTHS STRAIGHT; most of which was the holiday season!!!!

I have tracked my food in the past, but would stop after a month and then pick it back up several months later. I was never consistent. So for me, even if I did not see the pounds come off as quickly as I wanted, I developed a habit which will get me to where I want to be.

Don’t forget to celebrate the small victories especially the

If I wanted to make drastic changes in my mental, physical and spiritual health I needed to do it for ME and not others. What this meant is that I needed to find out what works best for me. I needed to listen to what my craves and what my body rejects. It has been hard and will be an ongoing journey but I need to do this for ME and no one else.

If you are looking for a way to improve your health in ANY capacity, I would love to chat and share my experiences.

If you try something causally then you will only get causal results.

I do my best to commit 100% to my goals. For me there is no other option. I do not have time to get causal results. I recommend never half-ass anything you want to be successful at. Just dive right in.

**insert cheesy New Years saying here***

But for REAL 2020 has been the strangest year of my life for which I am eternally grateful for.

With all of the social isolation it FORCED me to reset my life and reflect what was most important. One of my biggest accomplishments is that I learned that boundaries are VITAL for self care.

I always put other people’s problems or needs before my own which lead to me neglecting what was important to me. With this year forcing me to be at home I came to understand that the world will continue to spin. My family will survive without me running to their needs. My friends will still talk to me even if I don’t sign up for every activity. This realization has allowed me to prioritize what I NEED and WANT out of life. I will forever be thankful of learning this and I am eager to see what 2021 will bring!!

Hope everyone has a healthy and Safe New Year!!

Sometimes commitment looks like this. Here I jumping back into my work immediately after finishing my workout. Why? I promised myself that I would prioritize MY HEALTH through committing to this workout program and my lunch hour was the only time to complete it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This morning I choose to sleep in which meant I could not workout. But I knew it had to get done. So I threw back some Pre-workout and hit play once my lunch break started. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here I am, sweaty, hungry, and jumping back into my job responsibilities. Committing to anything is not glamorous; but if you set out a goal to accomplish something you grin and bear it until it gets done. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
