The baits are getting attention, and the bears are starting to show up.

With multiple bears hitting consistently and activity picking up, things are shaping up for a solid Minnesota bear season. Now it’s all about keeping the baits active, watching the patterns develop, and counting down the days.

September 1 can’t get here soon enough.

**August 1** is the deadline for lottery winners to purchase their bear permits. Any tags that aren't claimed will be released on August 5th at Noon CST as "leftover licenses" on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you've been hoping to hunt with Arrowhead Wilderness Outfitters, now is the time to prepare.

✅ Login to your Minnesota DNR account before Noon on August 5th. We hunt in Zone 31.
✅ Be ready based on previous years, the drawing will be over within a minute.
✅ Grab your tag and join us for an unforgettable Minnesota black bear hunt.

Every year, hunters who thought they missed their chance end up in a tree stand watching a mature black bear walk into one of our bait sites.
