As I approach another year of life I am starting to recognize that we are all distantly related, all family, all connected, all human, all spawned from the same origin in time. We may look different, sound different, think different, but we are all human, all connected.

Some of us are blind to the world around, and refuse to grasp the connection. Some of us only see things in the colors of our outside, but it's the color of our inside that binds us. We are one race, we are one people, and it's only our thoughts and opinions that make us truly different. Our color, religion, birthplace, or even heritage...yes those are differences, but in physical form we are the same.

I hope one day people of all colors will evolve beyond the confines of limited thinking, of bigotry, of hate, and of realizing that we can think differently and still accept one another despite those variations in our humanity...

I love the track community for these reasons, because it is my utopia, my mecca, and my place of peace. We enter the track and it's as if the only thing different is what we ride and the thrill of speed or of competition, or both....

Austin Tschida passed away on Saturday 6/15/24. Coming out of the last turn on the White Flag Lap, he gave it a bit too much throttle (imagine that!?!), had some tire spin and (fu***ng bu****it) Lymphoma got a half a wheel ahead of him at the line.
I won't go into a full eulogy here, but his final days were surrounded by Love. He was easy to Love, as evidenced by the outpouring of many. He also got to listen to MotoAmerica live from BIR all day.
Somebody please send another truck full of tires to Heaven, he's already depleted the inventory there!

RIP Austin Tschida.

Always kind and welcoming, Austin was a pleasure to be around at the track. Naturally talented on a motorcycle, I enjoyed watching you ride & race. You will be missed 💔 my thoughts are with Wade Tschida & the whole family.
