It’s been a bit of a rough season, but we had a great weekend at Cedar Falls Motorsports Park!

On Saturday, Ryan didn’t have much luck but Tony got down to the final 3 cars in Pro. We did get into a photo as good friend Carl Geib picked up a win!

On Sunday, Ryan and Tony were both still rolling into semifinal Round 5 of their respective classes. Ryan bowed out there, but Tony continued on to take the win.

The car was working great, and it felt good to not let it down when it wants to win!

This year’s NHRA West Central Division 5 race at Tri-State Raceway was one for the books. We’ve been coming to this event for years and been close several times, but this weekend finally got it done.

Qualified for the Laris Motorsports Insurance Shootout in Super Street but bowed out round one when the tires spun at the start. In the main race, we took the Nova to round 3 before making a judgement error that put us in the trailer. Still mad about that one.

But can’t be too mad when you successfully go rounds in Super Comp. When we started racing S/C about 10 years ago, getting past 3rd round was a challenge. The field is always stacked with some of the best in the sport. It’s hard to break through that pack! Finally had some success in 2021 at the Bandimere Divisional and this weekend, made it happen at the TriState Divisional.

Thank you to my family for always supporting me - watching from home and sending supportive messages throughout the weekend. Thank you to Matt Cheney and Amy Cheney for being a surrogate family; always willing to help with anything. Thank you to Steve Stockton and Danielle Davis for scouting the trends on the racetrack for me. Thank you Rob Eastman for help with the horsepower. And, thank you to everyone for the messages!

It’s lonely up on the starting line in the car, but this is most definitely a team sport and we have one great team! 👑

We’re finally able to collect our thoughts after a long week at the first ever double divisional event at Brainerd International Raceway.

In the first event, the dragster fell in Round 2 of Super Comp while the Nova continued on to be one of the final 7 cars in Super Street before the eventual champion slammed the door in our face with an excellent run.

In event two, an uncharacteristic error on the starting line in Round 1 was the end for the trusty Nova. It was the dragster’s turn for a run to the quarterfinal round, but again we couldn’t get over that hurdle.

It’s good to have friends, though, so we did manage to get into some winner’s circle pictures with Chris Bishop who picked up the Super Comp win on Sunday.

After a year away, it felt great to hit the track.

The car was great but the driver was a little too excited to be back with a hot red light streak.

Doesn’t matter. Beautiful weather, great people and racing - that’s what it’s about.

A beautiful day for the Car Show at Inver Grove Heights Days! A great turn out with 165 cars. Thank you to all who stopped by. We love to see the huge smiles on faces when given the opportunity to sit in the seat of the dragster.

Took the winter and first half of the season to refresh and work out some kinks. Hoping to hit the groove in a couple weeks.

This weekend we closed out the local bracket racing portion of our season at Brainerd International Raceway. Saturday was washed out by rain pretty early in the day.

Sunday started out tough, with Tony and Bryn laying down pretty nice laps in Round 1 but failing to turn on the win light.

Ryan held us up by bringing home the coveted Wally in the Street Trophy category with his Toyota Corolla! In three races with the Corolla, he has used an incredible string of reaction times to gather two wins and was in another final round that was rained out.
