Harries Technique: Cross your flashlight hand under your weapon-writing wrist, pressing the backs of your wrists or hands together. This creates isometric tension to help control recoil.
FBI Technique: Extend your support hand holding the light high and wide away from your body. This tricks a potential attacker into shooting at the light source instead of your center mass, though it forces you to shoot one-handed.
Rogers / Syringe Technique: Grip a ring-equipped tactical light like a medical syringe between your fingers, activating the tailcap with your thumb or palm. This allows you to bring your hands together for a closer two-handed grip.
Neck / Jaw Index: Tuck the light against your neck or jawline. The light moves naturally with your head, illuminating your target and your pistol sights while leaving your strong hand free to manage the fi***rm.
