6-13-26 Race Recap:
First I have to start by saying thank you to John Griffin and Alex for allowing me to wheel their car this year to get tracks and things I’ve never done scratched off my to do list. Secondly I have to thank Richard Shouse for prepping these cars all night Friday to make this possible.
Thirdly I’d like to thank Spoon River Speedway for the hospitality and for working with us to run at their track for the night. We unloaded knowing nothing about the track so after the drivers meeting we got 3 practice/qualifying laps running 20.4, heat race came and we started 4th the track slicked up and we brought it home 3rd running a 19.3. Feature race I started 6th and after taking the green the car briefly shut off lost all power, after shaking the car with the steering wheel and my body it came back to life we dropped to last, after some hard racing and a few cautions we were able to race back up to 4th running a 18.9. It was a blast and I learned a lot. Next race date TBD.
