Calling NEAR Cars!
You’re invited to Collector Car Live, coming to The Big E Arena in West Springfield, MA on Tuesday, Sept. 22. This year’s theme is
Rides, Restos and Racers.
Hosted by NEAR Hall-of-Famer Mike Joy and Wayne Carini of Chasing Classic Cars, this year Mike and Wayne will be joined by special guest judges: TV and internet personalities Tyler Hoover of Hoovies Garage and April Rose of Aprils Garage, as well as Steve Magnante, automotive historian and TV personality from Junkyard Crawl.
We’ve invited the NEAR Museum back for another visit, and would welcome NEAR members’ cars for a special display of racers. Due to the large number of collector cars that will be on display, NEAR participation is limited to 10 racers.
We’d like to see racers arrive and unload between 10:30 AM and Noon, and ask that cars remain in place until at least 5:00 PM for spectator safety. There will be truck and trailer parking near the Arena.
Bob Polverari will be receiving a special award from The Big E for his contributions to New England racing. If we have at least 6 racers on display, Bob will also award a trophy to his choice of a favorite racer from the NEAR members displays.

10:00 – Arena Gate opens to Exhibitors
Noon – Show opens to public
1:00 to 2:30 -- Judges view cars
3:00 – Stage show and awards
3:00 to 3:15 - Historic Racing and Bob Polverari’s Award
3:15 to 3:45 - On-stage panel discussion
3:45 to 4:00 - Trophy presentations
5:00 – Show ends, cars can be removed from Arena anytime up to 9:00 PM
