Carl is getting some lead time with Walker and is transferring rules with me to rules with other people. We hit the woods today and Carl got some bird contacts with Jack on the ground with him. We had his first back today which is a big step in his progress!

Fun day, picked some apples from the trees in the yard and made our first apple pie of the season from scratch! What should we do next weekend w/ our surplus of apples?

Great evening for an Elk Drive, had the bull on the ridge top bugling pretty good for this early. The rut is kicking into full gear for the younger bulls so far. Then had to sneak in on another bull that was out on the pipeline after snagging a few Brookies. Gotta love a day in the

Stopped in to see our boy Ceaser today as we are gearing up to run dogs tomorrow in a pile of new spots now that temps have dropped again.

Our Lil Man is making some great progress! Headed to the woods to scout and train for the weekend. Carl will be available for the October grouse season for the right hunting home.
