You might have noticed: Randi Lyn was back in her Pontiac last week in Dallas! Our girl looked right at home behind the wheel of her D/SA Firebird, cutting a stack of .00 lights through the divisional and national events at Texas Motorplex and driving to the fourth round in the main event. Will we see the Firebird out West for Vegas and Pomona? We shall see…..

"It just feels right being back in my car, that's the only way to explain it," she said. "I love that I had the opportunity to run Brian Corradi's car – it's beautiful, and I think with some time I could learn more in it and feel better about it. I'm very grateful to Brian for letting me drive it, it's just that I love these old cars. I'm part of that old-school Stock Eliminator generation."

After the big Allstars win yesterday, we closed out the night with the fifth round of both Super Comp (Hunter) and Super Gas (Bo). In his match, Hunter was .005 and ran 9.00, but Chris Childress got the win light by .001 with a .027 and 8.978. Bo is racing on Sunday and going for the double here at Texas Motorplex! Heidi Robison was -.006 red in their meeting.

It's been a whirlwind of a week here at the Stampede of Speed, and we can't think of a better way to close it out than with an NHRA 75th Anniversary Diamond Wally to go along with that cool Allstars trophy. LET'S GO, BO!

Bo is going to the final of the JEGS Allstars!!!

In the second round of Super Gas, our Allstar was .016 at the tree and ran dead-on (9.903) to get the win light over Tim Powell’s .016 and 9.914. Bo will race Charlie Stewart in the final, and he’s still going in main event eliminations as well. In his round four meeting with Tony Deluzio, Bo launched with a .008 reaction time and put up a 9.902 on the 9.90. He’ll race our friend Heidi Robison in the fifth round of the NHRA Texas FallNationals

The cold and windy morning was vastly different than the conditions we've had all week here at Texas Motorplex, but the Bo Butner Racing team was undeterred and turned on win lights in both Super Gas and Stock! In a heads-up D/SA match with Matt Diamond, RL was .029 on the tree and powered her pretty little Pontiac to a 10.639 to defeat a .044 and 10.701. She advances to the fourth round on Saturday to meet with young Paul Stalba.

In the third round of Super Gas, Bo drove the Clark County Auto Auction/JBA roadster off the starting line with a .017 light next to his red-lighting opponent, and he'll be moving on to the fourth round and a match with Tony Deluzio.

It was awesome seeing our two-time world champ honored as a JEGS Allstar during prerace ceremonies later that day, and it got even better when he turned on the win light in the first round of the special event to Nathan Huber, who ran just a bit too quick on the 9.90 index. He's set to race Tim Powell in the second round of the three-round event.

Saturday should be a ton of fun, and the weather might be even cooler. Texas, what are you trying to do to us? It's anyone's race, and that's why we love it!

After two rounds of eliminations today/tonight, Bo and RL are both advancing to round three of the NHRA Texas FallNationals! It was a crazy day, and we had hoped to be able to make the NHRA FanFest in downtown Ennis and sign autographs with the JEGS Allstars, but with the potential for weather tomorrow NHRA had us run second round tonight. We know there were some folks expecting us to be there, so thank you for understanding! We hope to catch up with you soon.

Tomorrow, we race another elimination round.... and it'll be time to kick off the JEGS Allstars, too! After a great start here, Bo will be ready to make a run for that special title in Super Gas. For now, the wind is picking up so we're going to batten down the hatches. Back at it bright and early!
