Thank you for visiting Rack Star Athletics!! Our facility uses a core strength & conditioning program that delivers fitness, that is by its very nature, broad, general, and inclusive. Elements of metabolic conditioning, gymnastics, and weightlifting,
are combined in short intense daily workouts to maximize results for any individual. Rack Star Athletics teaches functional movement patterns; movements that you find in real life ie; pushing, pulling, squatting, jumping, throwing, carrying, and sprinting. You will find functional analogs to nearly all our movments in your daily life. The goal of our program is to better equip you for the riggers of life. We have all seen the unfortunate site of those struggling with daily living tasks and we are determined to not ever let you find yourself in those circumstances. What sets us apart from other gyms and CrossFit Affiliates in our area is that we focus on making sure that you are fully prepared and ready for our group classes. We are focused on lifelong functional fitness for our clients…not just throwing you into a class environment without a knowledge of the movements and proper technique. Our group classes are for our members that have obtained a proficiency in functional movements and a good baseline of fitness. We have spent years studying, learning and experimenting with ways to get people fit in a safe and effective manner. We have learned how to get people motivated and to keep them injury-free so they can be fit for life not just for a quick fix. Our methodology has been proven very effective in group prescriptions, however we have found that introduction to this methodology works best in a one on one environment. The functional movements you'll experience in our gym are effective, challenging, and complex. For this reason, we require our athletes to show both proper mechanics and consistency in our movements prior to adding intensity. These movements are taught best with a watchful eye and the skillset of a great coach. Putting you into a group class without personalized coaching both makes you uncomfortable but more importantly puts you at high risk of injury. We have learned over the years that a higher coach to athlete ratio not only provides a better learning experience but also a safer environment. It allows the client to learn sound movement patterns and as a by product yields a healthier community of people. At Rack Star Athletics you will begin your journey in a safe one on one or two on one environment with your coach who will get to know you personally and guide you each step along the way. Once you are able to show proper mechanics and consistency at a high level of intensity we will move you in to group classes.
