Great to be in Bradenton this morning to sign legislation that will preserve Florida’s coastlines and support coastal resiliency.

✔️ SB 302 protects Terra Ceia Aquatic Preserve from being developed into a cruise ship terminal along the Sunshine Skyway in Manatee County.
✔️ SB 302 will build on the results we’ve already seen from our investments in coastal resiliency and help restore wetlands, oyster reefs, and mangroves.
✔️ HB 1417 streamlines environmental rulemaking to protect our natural resources and keep our economy thriving.

Florida is blessed with a beautiful coastline and natural environment, and my administration is committed to protecting the God-given treasures of our state.

The kids put in the work and it paid off. Nothing better than seeing those smiles holding up some beautiful hogfish. Days like this are what it’s all about… family, fishing, and memories that’ll last a lifetime.
