Fall In Love With Your 60 Degree Sand Wedge If You Like Lower Scores...Fact: PGA Tour Make % from 6 ft: 70%...from 10 ft: 40%...For those of you that are NOT on the PGA Tour, I'm going to guess your numbers are lower. Therefore, the most effective way to lower your scores is to get the ball within a 3 ft circle of the hole, ASAP. If you learn to chip and pitch the ball (and hit bunker shots) within 3 feet, you will lower your scores significantly!!! If you simply enjoy hitting drivers on the range, and having a good time on the course, that's fine. However, if you like posting lower scores and want that feeling of accomplishment, trust me when I tell you to fall in love with your 60 degree sand wedge...Valentine's Day is right around the corner...

Notice how the only "training aids" you see these guys using right before a tournament, are the ones that have to do with alignment, ball position, and fundamentals...Max and Colin are using alignment sticks and you can see Tiger snapped a chalk line on the putting green to accompany his go-to putting drill. These guys don't play golf swing, with 5 swing thoughts like your average 15 handicapper...They see lines, focus on fundamentals in their set up position, and then they make one hell of an athletic move to deliver the club square and down the line with a ton of speed...Simple, Athletic, Awesome!

I have such respect for the game of golf and the individuals that helped evolve the game through the centuries. I am proud to have invented a tool that I believe can help almost any golfer improve with their sand shot. For whatever reason, I feel I have been given a unique gift since I was a kid, and I see millions of golfers that I can truly help. I have shown many people over the last 30 years how to improve their sand shot, and the Sand Square is an effective tool that was born out of necessity. Almost everyone that has wanted a bunker lesson from me, has the club in such a terrible position at address, that they really don't have a chance. I generally spent 90% of my bunker lesson adjusting the club position and adjusting their set up position. The results are amazing and they would have an "aha" moment...The Sand Square was born because we needed some thing, a device, to hold the club in the optimal position that you could practice with... I never set out to work on this. I have no interest in selling a product, just to sell a product. The Sand Square is something I believe in and know it will help others. It happened because it was needed for my friends, and their results were amazing. The game of golf has given me so much in my life and I'm honored and excited to be part of the game again in some, organic, small way. I also believe we can create a community, online, that is focused on improving their bunker game, sharing videos, thoughts, etc. and The Sand Square team is there to support. If you use the Sand Square in conjunction with the online support, you're almost certain to transform your sand game, lower your scores, and enjoy this game even more.

Professional golfers are OBSESSED with their set up positions. Why?...Because they know if they can repeatedly build the ideal stance in tournament play, they will play well. PRESHOT routines matter more to pros because they prioritize their process, more than the result..For the sand shot, move the ball forward toward the middle of your lead foot. If the ball is forward, then the shaft is leaning back. Simple physics. When the ball is forward, you do not need such a steep angle of attack. It's more like hitting a driving range 8 iron. If the shaft is back, then you have bounce, and if you swing to the "champagne position" (see previous post), the ball has no choice but to blast out of the bunker high, with tons of spin!
