Hello Volunteers,
Suncoast Aqua-Ventures needs your help coming up, Saturday, June 27th.
We’re calling this one the TRASH TRIFECTA! 3 locations will be cleaned!
Two locations for registration and to gather trash. Dumpsters at both sites.
Lunch at Sunny Shores provided for all volunteers at Sunny Shores!
South Coquina to target the Leffis Key area. This the east side of Coquina Beach, between North and South Coquina boat ramps.
PLEASE meet in the area just south of the South Coquina ramp.
Keep Manatee Beautiful will assist at this location, look for the truck!
The park and walking trails are closed, but we can access the debris from the water. We will need a few to walk the beach area, north of the Sheriff docks.
We hope to finish in this area by 12:00 so volunteers can meet at Sunny Shores for lunch.
Sunny Shores. 11704 36th Ave West, Cortez. Lunch at 12:30 all volunteers welcome.
We’ll have volunteers clean the creeks, roadside and drainage ditches in the community as well as kayakers working the shoreline.
We will also have a boat bringing volunteers to Gilligan’s Island to remove materials left behind by homeless and campers that frequently visit the island.
Shoreline walkers, and small shallow draft boats, kayakers, paddle boards all needed for BOTH locations. PLEASE register in advance and indicate your preferred location.
We will provide all the cleanup supplies you need, nets, pickers, bags, buckets, and gloves.
Snacks and hydrating drinks available. Please bring a re-usable water bottle, we will have filling stations. Sun protection as needed and wear shoes you can get wet.
If you have specific offerings (boat, kayak, etc) to help with this event, please let me know so I can best coordinate resources.
