Congratulations to our summer season winners!

National master (middle) taking first place in the over 1400 section, with an astonishing 18-1-1 record! ✊️🏆

U1400 intermediate champ taking home the win with an 11-4-5 record! 🔥♟️

And last but certainly not least... rookie player Sonny Parlin (right) with some major upsets in the season going 10-0-15! Hes got a long and prosperous chess career ahead of him!

We had a great 18 player turnout from kava social chess club at the Orlando Chess Club 5th annual "Battle for i4"! 👥♟️🏆

Both teams fought hard in a 4 round quad-style event where each point could very much affect the results!

We fought hard but Orlando Chess Club took the win this year! Congratulations! We will see you next year to reclaim our spot!

Celebrating our chess teams summer tournaments! ☀️🏆
daethyra, , and all competed in the rigorous World chess open in Washington DC! With 9 very long matches over the course of 5 days, stamina, focus, and precision were required for the team to play their hearts out. Weeks of preparation, study, and practice all came together as they all competed in their respective brackets. 🌎♟️

Rookie .daethyra pulled an impressive +600 elo upset in her division agaisnt a higher rated opponent! 👑

placed 2nd place in his u1600 division scoring 7/9 points! Hard work paying off! 💪. He also scored 3/5 in the Pittsburgh open 2 weeks later.

Veteran ace faced off agaisnt Bobby fischers student in one of the higher brackets! Tough opposition! ♠️

NM Scott Ramer from our club also competed in the Pittsburgh open fighting agaisnt the top seeds! 🧠

We are super proud of them all! 👏👏👏
