Baby got Back ☠️

When I started bodybuilding my back was my weakest area. I didn’t enjoy lat pulldowns and rows were even less enjoyable.
Over the years my coaches had the most absurd back workouts in my programming and eventually back became my favorite lifting day.

First cycle class in the books! ⁣

Tonight Was the first time I have ever taught from the heart. I am so thankful to have received my second vaccination and see the light at the end of the tunnel. ⁣

Coming into a managerial position during the pandemic definitely tested my ability to “remain calm”. I want to thank my amazing instructors for pushing through and giving our members something to look forward to each week! I also want to thank our loyal participants for making group fitness what it is. Without each of you putting yourselves first we wouldn’t be able to do what we did.⁣

As class was coming to a close tonight I held back tears. These tears came from the most genuine place. My ❤️⁣

For so many years I spent my time looking on Instagram for my identity. It wasn’t until I started to spend time with real people having real conversations that I realized who I have been all along was my true identity. ⁣

Now I scroll through so differently. Knowing who I am helps me cheer others on. I don’t compare myself anymore, I don’t try to act like anybody else. I know I’m not for everyone but the reality is this. I am me! And for the rest of my life that is the only thing I will be! ⁣

My motivation is myself!⁣

It’s hard not to compare yourself to others with social media being such a huge part of our lives today. Something I have done throughout my journey is keep pictures throughout the years.⁣

This is the picture I look at for motivation. I have found that it helps me stay on track by bringing myself back to this time in my life.⁣

What did my routine look like?⁣
What was my training style?⁣
What was my nutrition like?⁣
What supplements was I taking?⁣
How consistent was I?⁣

My motivation now is knowing I am stronger, more mobile, and know a lot more about myself. This time I will come out better and that is what keeps me going. ⁣
