Exciting weekend coming up!!
This weekend the Omaha Sports Commission will be hosting the ONE Cycling Series!🚴🏆
The action begins on Saturday, August 8, with the Aksarben Tirc Presented by Visit Omaha in Aksarben Village. This fast-paced event features cyclists racing a one-mile closed circuit through the heart of Aksarben. Spectators can watch riders reach speeds of more than 35 miles per hour as they navigate tight corners and battle for the finish line in races ranging from youth and amateur divisions to elite professional competitions. Admission is free, making it the perfect opportunity to experience elite cycling up close. The day also includes the Tiny Tirc Kids Race, obstacle courses, skills zones, bike demonstrations, expo booths, and family-friendly activities for all ages.
The excitement continues on Sunday, August 9, as the Papillion Twilight Criterium Presented by Sarpy County Tourism and the City of Papillion returns to downtown Papillion for the first time in several years. This beloved event brings elite and amateur cyclists back to the streets for an evening of thrilling racing and a vibrant community atmosphere. Like the Aksarben Tirc, admission is free, making it a great event for cycling fans and families alike.
