Have you been wanting to learn to paddle? Here's a great opportunity at Occoneechee State Park!

Our Let's Go Adventures team is offering a special Let's Go Kayaking program at the park next week.

🚣 This 4-hour class will cover the basics of paddling skills, including how to select and fit a PFD, different types of kayaks, planning and safety, and proper paddling strokes. Participants will practice in-water rescues and should be prepared to get wet.

🚸 Must be at least 10 years old

Come aboard The Gaston and cruise out to see the Lake Gaston Boat Parade! This is an annual event and truly something to see.
Saturday, July 4
Cruise time 9:30-12:30
We will anchor out and watch the parade of decorated boats go by.
Wear your favorite red, white and blue attire/swimsuit. Bring sunscreen and towels. We will provide ice, bottled water and cups.
Departing from The Honey Hole. Come early and I’m sure they can fix you up a delicious breakfast sandwich for the ride or enjoy lunch there when our ride is over.
They have sunscreen and beverages in their to-go cooler if you need it.
