Three GERM swimmers competed in the Rock Hall Triathlon competition. Dorota Hassett was 4th in her age group for the sprint Triathlon. Farol Tomson was 4th in his group for the Olympic Triathlon. And Jean Landry won his group in the Olympic Triathlon. Congratulations!

Summer outdoor swimming workouts for adults start Sunday. Check our website for the schedule, pool locations, and to register. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday evening, and next Sunday we will be in a heated outdoor pool.

Currently offering workouts for USMS-registered, adult swimmers at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center (GISC) (except summer), Lakewood Country Club (all seasons), and Darnestown Swim and Racquet Club (summer only) .

Summer Masters Swimming Workouts Now Open For Registration.

We swim May 24 - September 7 at Darnestown Swim and Racquet Club (4 mornings a week) and Lakewood Country Club (2 evenings a week). You will find pool locations, the workout schedule, a button to register for USMS (2026 USMS membership required for insurance) and a button to register for the workouts online at www.germantownmasters.org

Preliminary results from the Albatross Open Masters Meet have GERM winning the combined and women's categories in the meet. Montgomery Ancient Mariners -- hosts of the meet -- won the men's competition. Lots of fun for our 26 swimmers ages 24 to 83. Team records will be posted on the team website soon. Pictured below are four of our "Silver Tigers" -- swimmers whose hair is either silver or missing.

Saturday, March 14, 2026, will be the 32nd Annual Montgomery Ancient Mariners’ Albatross Open.

Because the ANCM home pool is still under renovations they will host the meet in the Germantown Indoor Swim Center (GISC). The pool will be configured as a 25-meter course.
