It is with heavy hearts that we share that our player Dereck Gomez’s mother, Jenny passed away this past weekend.

Dereck is a valued member of our Acton Boxborough Hockey family and we want to come together to support him and his family as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

The AB Hockey community is saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved Coach Jerry Melanson. Coach Jerry was a staple of the Acton Boxborough Hockey Program. For decades, he taught thousands of kids how to skate… or in Jerry’s words, “walk like a duck!”, “run like a horse!”. The hockey world lost a good one. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
