Those lessons can teach us all how ugliness, hate, power and control can hurt others. It really is about how we want to be treated and how we treat others. There is not one single person who is better than another, we all bleed, we all feel and we all want to live a peaceful life. It all begins with you and me. Be kind and love one another. MLSA assists victims of crime.

Montana Legal Services Association (MLSA) offers civil legal crime victim services. Our services can include enforcing a victim's right to privacy, to notice and information, and to participate in the case. We can assist with victim compensation, restitution, and preparing for a trial against the offender. Types of crimes we may be able to help with include hate crimes, stalking, and physical and sexual assault.

MLSA does not assist with defense in criminal cases.

It’s sad, and maybe we should all try to do and be better humans. If it doesn’t start with us, then who does it start with? In observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day, all Chippewa Cree Tribal governmental offices including Tribal Court will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Good Morning all you beautiful beings! It’s important for us caring human beings to learn the gift of listening. When someone comes to us expressing their thoughts and feelings, our minds (mine anyway) tend to go to what I want to say in response. We have to remember if they want our opinion, they will ask for it. I work hard all the time at being a good listener, trying to stay in the moment and really listen to what others are saying.
