RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people ages 55 and over. You can use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years, or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community. Service opportunities are as diverse as the communities in which volunteers serve and may include:Transportation and Mentoring for Veterans and Militar

y Families, delivering meals to home bound seniors, providing friendly visits to isolated seniors or residents in long term care facilities. Volunteers may also provide Referrals or resources to community members and take part in Educational/Training programs of your liking! RSVP volunteers choose how, where, and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to 40 hours per week. Volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training from the organization where they will serve, and supplemental insurances while on duty (Accidental, Medical, and Excess Auto Insurance, as well as a small life insurance benefit). Active volunteers do receive monetary incentives, such as reimbursement of your mileage traveling back and forth to your stations. Our monetary reimbursement is not considered income, so it will not affect any benefits which you may be receiving, such as retirement, SSI, disability, housing, or SNAP.
