🏁 WEEKEND PLANS β€” NO RACING?! 🏁

Yep… you read that right. No racing for Ebert Racing this weekend. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚

Instead, it’s ALL TRUCKING. πŸš›πŸ’¨

Apparently racing is expensive, race parts don’t magically appear, and the wife has informed Jason that he needs to WORK MORE if he wants to keep buying race car parts. πŸ€£πŸ’ΈπŸŽοΈ

So while the 248 sits patiently in the shop, Jason will be out there turning miles into race fuel, tires, parts…and probably whatever else we manage to break next. πŸ˜‚

But don’t worryβ€”we’re not staying away for long!

🏁 Next up: Back at Shawano Speedway for Fair Night! 🎑🏎️
🏁 Then we’re headed to Outagamie Speedway for the FALL BRAWL! πŸ‚πŸ’₯

For now… KEEP ON TRUCKIN’! πŸš›πŸ’¨

Because apparently β€œI need race car parts” isn’t an acceptable reason to stay home from work. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

🏁 EBERT RACING β€” SATURDAY NIGHT RECAP 🏁

Saturday we decided to head to the legendary 1/2-mile Shawano Speedway with the 248! 🐝🏁

What we didn’t know was that Shawano had gotten some rain beforehand…and let’s just say the track was SOMETHING. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚

But the track crew worked their tails off to get it into racing condition, and after a lot of work β€” we went racing! Huge credit to everyone who put in the time and effort to make that happen. πŸ‘

πŸ”₯ HEAT RACE
Started: 4th
Finished: DNF

Coming out of turn 2, we gave the wall a little love tap 😬 and ended up with a flat tire, bringing our heat race to an early end.

That meant we had some work to do come feature time…

🏁 FEATURE
Started: 24th
Finished: 12th πŸ’ͺ

24th ➑️ 12th!

After the way the night started, we’ll absolutely take that. We kept digging, stayed after it, and managed to drive the 248 forward 12 positions on a track that definitely kept everyone on their toes!

And apparently we were feeling pretty comfortable out there because we even managed to wave at the photographer with our LEFT FRONT WHEEL! πŸ“ΈπŸ‘‹πŸ˜‚

Who needs a hand when you’ve got three wheels on the ground?! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ

Every night in this car is another night of learning. Some nights humble you, some nights build your confidence, and some manage to do a little bit of both. πŸ˜‚

The 248 is still a work in progress, and so are we β€” but we’re learning, getting more comfortable, and continuing to figure out what this car wants.

Another night. More laps. More lessons. And maybe a little more air time than we planned. πŸ˜‚

But we keep moving forward. πŸ©·πŸ–€πŸ

Thanks to everyone who continues to support, help, and cheer us on! And a HUGE thank you to Wild Image Photography for such amazing photos!

🏁 Ebert Racing Weekend Recap | 56 Laps in the Books 🏁

Two tracks, two nights, and a whole lot more seat time in the #248 Modified!

πŸ“ Friday Night β€” Seymour

Heat Race: Started 3rd ➑️ Finished 7th
Feature: Started 21st ➑️ Finished 19th

πŸ“ Saturday Night β€” Shawano

Heat Race: Started 1st ➑️ Finished 5th
Feature: Started 11th ➑️ Finished 12th

We decided to head to Shawano Saturday knowing the car count would be a little lower, which meant another opportunity to get some much-needed laps in.

Friday night, a wise young man told us something that really stuck: the only way to get better is to get as much seat time as possible.

He also reminded us that there isn't much more humbling than driving a race car. It doesn't matter how good you are, how much money you have, or how much time and hard work you put into it. That car can make you feel like you're on top of the world one night and carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders the next.

And man, are we learning how true that is. πŸ˜‚

This weekend we managed to put 56 LAPS behind the wheel. 🏁

I'll continue to say it every weekβ€”we're learning something new every time we hit the track. We're getting a little more comfortable, understanding the car a little better, and slowly figuring out what it wants from us.

The results on paper might not look like much yet, but right now laps are progress. Every heat, every feature, every adjustment, and even every mistake is teaching us something.

We're going to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep putting in the work. Eventually, all those little pieces are going to come together. πŸ’ͺ🏁

As always, a HUGE thank you to our family, crew, sponsors, fellow racers, and everyone who continues to support Ebert Racing #248 through this learning curve. It means more than you know!

56 more laps of experience in the notebook. On to the next one. πŸπŸ©·πŸ–€

Heat Race
🏁 Started: 1st
🏁 Finished: 6th

We dropped back a few spots, but the biggest win was that the car felt really good! We're finally starting to understand what this Modified likes, and it's starting to show. Every lap is another lesson, and we're headed in the right direction.

Feature
🌧️ Mother Nature had other plans, and the feature was rained out. The lineup was scored from the heat race, which means we were officially scored 3rd! πŸŽ‰

YAY... our first Top 5 finish! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

We'll take it however we can get it! Huge thank you to our family, crew, sponsors, and everyone cheering us on while we continue to learn this new ride. We're excited to keep building on it and see what next week brings!
