The End of an Era: From 8U to 12U
What a journey it has been.
From the small fields of 8U to now graduating to the big fields, this group has grown in ways that go far beyond baseball. We have watched these young men develop as players, teammates, competitors, and friends.
There have been wins and losses, smiles and tears, laughter, unforgettable moments, and memories that will last a lifetime. Through every practice, tournament, long weekend, tough inning, and championship run, this team continued to represent VSA with pride.
Our journey together reached an incredible milestone at Cooperstown Dreams Park, where we competed against teams from across the country and finished 34th out of 102 teams. That accomplishment is something every player, coach, and family should be extremely proud of.
Cooperstown was about more than baseball. It was the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, commitment, and belief. It was the perfect way to close this chapter before our players move on from the small fields and begin their next journey on the big field.
To our parents, thank you for every ride, payment, meal, hotel stay, early morning, late night, and word of encouragement. None of this would have been possible without your dedication and support.
To my coaches Tommy,Fleet Roland and Jason, thank you for the countless hours spent teaching, mentoring, encouraging, and challenging our players to become better on and off the field.
To our team coordinator Mrs. V, thank you for everything you did behind the scenes to keep our team organized and make this journey possible. Your time, effort, and commitment were invaluable.
Most importantly, thank you to our players. Thank you for trusting us, competing for one another, and giving us so many moments to celebrate. Always remember the friendships you built, the lessons you learned, and the memories you created wearing VSA across your chest.
The small-field chapter may be ending, but the journey is far from over. Now it is time to take everything you have learned and carry it with you to the big field.
