At this time we request extreme precautions by all users of the park. Please wear gloves and sanitize hands frequently, whether touching elements or not. Also, please avoid use of the public restroom, and remain 10 feet apart for extra safety at all times. One or two users at a time is fine but more can get dangerous. Also: please do not share rides to and from the park! Stick to your own family’s vehicle. Never touch gas pump or door handles without sanitizing before and after. Do not exchange cell phones except in an emergency. When in doubt, and stay home.

A very early supporter of our great park was former pro Tobias Parkhurst. Skateboarding taught him many lessons which he has used in his successful business career!

“Mainebiz: Are there lessons as a pro skateboarder that helped you in business?”

“TP: Yes, 100%. I've been skateboarding for almost 30 years and I look at the world through a skateboarder's eyes. We were in the streets every day [interacting] with lots of different types of people. Dealing with different types of people from different walks of life, in wildly varying situations, has taught me a lot about communicating. Other than that, falling down is humbling, and a lot of people are scared of it … knowing success comes with hard work and lots of falls is a valuable thing.”
