Bay Ridge Performance Horses

Bay Ridge Performance Horses Building champion teams.

Based out of Silver Quarters in Beautiful Bow Wa, we strive to make the relationship between the rider and horse much more than just an afternoon hobby. By working hard to learn how each movement and reaction affects one another, why things work the way they do, the rider can move onto possibilities thought one day to be far beyond their expectations. We offer private and group lessons with our tr

ainer Tabitha Whitford who was born into the horse industry and proven a winner on the APHA, 4-H and Open Curcuits. She also has started and trained many horses and offers training on a monthly rate with boarding at the facility, and is currently the Horsefeathers 4-H Leader which is always taking new members!

We have a couple new riders at the barn and a few others have switches days or times due to summer schedules. So I hope I have everything written down correctly. Please make sure to check the board at the barn and write down any days you will be gone if it conflicts with your lesson.

Excited about showmanship!

10/12/2021

I am going to start lessons an hour earlier on Saturday’s and sundays to relieve some conjestion. It has been so chaotic which has taken a toll on my health getting so overwhelmed with school on top and I want to allow more one on one time. If someone wants to go early let me know.

Dear students and parents:

This year we have all thrived when we had to overcome new obstacles that we faced. Whether it be Covid, illness, death, new addition (horse or human), conflict with sports or finally able to skip town for a vaca. I am so thankful for parents being so flexible with me, as I know it's a two way street, as we all know, life happens. This being said, everyone knows I have been working toward my elementary education degree so I can become a teacher and have a full time career. I bartended for 11 years, took the last two off to finish school and now here we are. I have been placed in a school for the fall, but I also want to be apart of what it's like to start a year and prepare a classroom over summer. This means things may come up over summer, and starting September I am teaching for a consecutive 12 weeks to graduate. I am very excited to start my new life as a day time teacher, evening trainer and summer "horse show-er." I am not going to lie, I have NO IDEA what it's going to be like starting September, but I hope and pray all my amazing parents and students will be patient with me as things will shift and change often starting now through December. I do not want to miss out on any opportunities to learn and if my host teacher wants to include me, I want to be there, so I will try my best to keep informed, keep updated, stay awake and stay focused as there is nothing I want more than the horse show industry to thrive, and it cannot survive without upcoming youth.

Sincerely,
whatever you need me to be in the horse industry:
Tabitha

Not sure where my post went about having a fun day. if you saw it I would like to know what you were thinking. if you didn't I would like to have a fun day with kids and adults and was wondering about when. week day? weekend? weekday before school starts? weekend after school starts? I would like to have horse knowledge games, games on and off the horse, BBQ lunch or dinner if we decide on afternoon. would like it to be during September so the weather is still nice.
