What a beautiful day for base ball with our friendly foes from the Kingston Guards Vintage Base Ball Club. Both games saw Bovina jump out to early leads, while Kingston's efforts to claw back were hampered by a crisp Dairymen defense that turned five double plays on the day.

Bovina went on to win both games, with every Dairymen hitting safely in each game. Devin "Wagon" Truman led the way for Bovina with eight hits on the day.

Bovina plays next on Friday, June 12, 5:30pm at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome against the Kingston Guards, and again on June 20/21 at the New England Base Ball Festival hosted by our friends from the Westfield Wheelmen Vintage Base Ball Club.

A great day for triple header baseball in Bovina! Yesterday, Creamery Field hosted its first-ever modern baseball game between the Varsity teams from Delaware Academy and Stamford-Jefferson. Afterwards, the Bovina Dairymen took on the Saugerties Vintage Base Ball Club in a double header by the rules of 1864.

Delaware Academy and Bovina prevailed in the days' contests which saw wind and chill in early May baseball in the Catskill Mountains.

Many thanks to our sponsors, Livestock Foundation and MARK Project, facility manager Matt Woodin, and all the fans, family, and friends who made the day possible.

Bovina plays next at the Kingston Guards Vintage Base Ball Club on May 31.

The Bovina Dairymen Vintage Base Ball team is looking for 1 or 2 players for the 2026 season!

We play baseball by the rules, and in the uniforms, of the 1800s. We and our families travel, play, and eat together, while competing against teams from Michigan to Maryland. Sportsmanship and competition are equally important.

We have 11 dates scheduled for 2026, including three travel games where we spend a weekend together, playing on Saturday and Sunday. Regulars are expected to make more than half the games, but there are opportunities to fill in a game or two. You can find more on out website or by visiting our sponsor, Livestock Foundation. Please DM here or email [email protected] for more info.

To bats!

SEASON UPDATE: with the Cowtown Scramble successfully in the books, we would like to thank all the teams who made the trip to Bovina last weekend to make the weekend a special one.

Unfortunately, due to staffing and other issues, Bovina's last game in Central Park (scheduled for Sunday, 10/19) IS CANCELLED.

We would like to thank the players, families, fans, and supporters for a wonderful 2025 season. Bovina played ten dates, including travel to Massachusetts, Michigan, Saugerties, and all over Delaware County. The Dairymen compiled a 20-6 record from May to October, and saw Dylan Tucker, Troy Tucker, Alex Taylor, John Finn, and Mike Brown reach 100 games played. We also welcomed two new dairyboys to the future ranks, Elijah Burns (pictured) and Henry Frandsen.

As always, a pleasure to be part of the vintage base ball family. Our thanks to our families and the Livestock Foundation for their unwavering support.

See you in 26.
